Child Security Policy
At the recommendation of the Christian Education Committee, the Session has adopted a Child Security Policy that requires anyone working with our children and youth to attend a training session of approximately 40 minutes. This includes teachers, High Tide and Youth Leaders, chaperones, nursery volunteers, VBS workers and Summer programs. For the protection of our children and youth, as well as for the protection of our teachers, leaders and volunteers, we feel this is of the utmost importance. We appreciate your willingness to support this policy by attending a training session. There will be two training opportunities. Please contact Bernice Henry in the church office at 694-4121
High Tide is a youth group for Elementary children in kindergarten through fifth grade that meets on Sunday afternoons from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for fun, fellowship and dinner.
High Tide will not meet during the summer months. A trip to Sea World will take place during the summer. The children and parents will be contacted to confirm these plans. Regular activities will begin again in September.
The High Tide participants and leaders would like to especially thank Mrs. Ervin Bullock for sharing so much of her time with them over the past several years. We wish you the best, Mrs. Ervin!

Can You Help Send A Child To Camp?
Montgomery Conference Center offers wonderful Summer Camp opportunities for children and youth. Fort King has a number of children and youth who would benefit from these programs but cannot afford the cost (average is $250-$375 per child, per week). If you could assist in providing scholarship funding for a child or youth, please contact Bernice Henry or Jim Bullock.

Challenge Camps for grades 7-10
Power and Light Camps for grades 7-9
Sailing Camp for grades 7-9
Wild Water Camp for grades 8-10
Caving Camp for grades 8-19
Mountain Adventure (North Carolina) grades 9-11
Challenge Camps for grades 8-10
Leadership Training for grades 9-10 and 10-11
Counselor Training for grades 12 and graduates
Family Camp for entire families (July 2-5 only)
