Biblical Gardens: Keep this Project going!

The start of Fort King's Biblical Garden area! Lucy Tobias presented our Sunday class with a seven week presentation on biblical Gardens. This ended with a wonderful class on “Olive Trees” and planting of two olive trees at Fort King which will be the beginning of a special area for medication and perhaps Weddings? See Lucy’s memo below: What an honor and a privilege to share the Biblical Garden journey with you these past seven weeks in Sunday School - we talked the talk then walked the walk and dug the dirt Thanks to donations two olive trees are planted and two fig trees awaiting planting (they are so ready to jump out of their pots). A special thanks to Ken Orme for flagging the water sprinkler heads. A reminder to volunteers who agreed to water the olive trees for extra soaking the first two weeks. The rain has helped but still, on the days it doesn't rain . . . Elena Jones is working on a site plant that includes a structure for meditation and even weddings. Property Committee is the point for all these ideas. And so it begins - Fort King's Biblical Gardens. May the gardens and the gardeners flourish and grow. Walk in peace, Lucy Biblical gardens are cultivated collections of plants that are named in the Bible. They are a type of theme garden that botanical gardens, public parks, and private gardeners maintain. They are grown in many parts of the world with examples in diverse places, including the Japans Seinan Gakuin University Biblical Botanical Garden to the United states Missouri Botanical Garden.[5] A list of plants in the Bible includes species of plants mentioned in the Jewish and Christian scriptures. Other plants with associations to the themes and subjects of the Bible are sometimes also included, especially in areas with different climates

Inspirations (Inspirational poems, etc. and other Web Sites)

This Web page is designed so that all may contribute their ideas, thoughts, inspirations, motivations, recipes, books you loved and think would inspire others, and web sites that would do the same, etc. It may make a difference in your own life, but best of all it may make a difference in the life of someone you love or someone you have never meet. Everyday thin lines of communication connect us, but we still fail to connect to each other. We use our senses of hearing, speaking, listening, feeling, but do we really know what the other person is feeling or thinking. Do we really "connect" with them ?
