Another Opportunity To Vote
Bonnie Schulze, Health Minister would like to give an appropriate and consistent name to the Health Ministry articles in the monthly Link. The name can also be used for the Web Page. Please email your suggestions to Bonnie at bonitaschulze@att.net or call Chris in the Church Office. We haven’t had many suggestions so we are going to extend the deadline until February’s Link. Some used this past year include: Here’s To Your Health, To Your Health, Health Ministry Update Edna Jordan called Bonnie with her suggestion “Body Update by Bonnie”. C’mon everyone. Bonnie is back, she might even find a prize for the winning suggestion.

New Year’s Fair A New Event For The New Year!

On January 25, 2009, all the standing committees of Fort King Church will be hosting a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall and will be exhibiting information to showcase their committees. The purpose of the event is to inform members and friends of the church about the purpose and work of each committee. Members will be issued a “passport” to visit the “booths” of each committee. After visiting the booths, all who attend will be treated to lunch. There is no cost to attend so please mark you calendars and “Come to the Fair!”

Examples: Gift cards, weekend use of a lake house, gift basket, donation of a service, etc. Thanks,The Youthdinners for 8

Dinners For Eight It is time again to sign up for one of our most popular Fellowship events. If you have not been involved, we hope you will join us this year. Each month a group of eight participants meet together in the home of a member of the group. The participants each provide a portion of the meal. The groups change each month so that you are with different people each month and that you provide a different portion of the meal each month. The participants are paired in groups of two (spouses are grouped together, but singles are certainly encouraged to sign up- we will pair you with someone). The host pair provides the entree and the other categories include: vegetable, salad and bread, and dessert. The groups meet January through April with a gathering in May of all the participants together. A sign up sheet is in the narthex or you may call Bernice and Bob Henry at 694-6798 to sign up or ask any questions you may have. It is a lot of fun, wonderful food, and a great way to get to know each other!

This is your chance to see how the Vikings lived in the nine hundreds, how the "Newfies" live now in fishing villages. Lilacs and icebergs are still around in the summer. Gloria, who sings in the church choir will give the commentary and both will answer questions. Mark your calendar and bring a friend.
