2010 COMMUNITY CONCERT SERIES

The Central Florida Master Choir

Sunday, April 18, 2010            3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

An outstanding choir singing a variety of vocal music from the Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, and 20th Century periods.

 

 

Garrison Doles of Song Chapel

Sunday, September 12, 2010 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

A guitarist/vocalist who travels the  country with his contemporary Christian music ministry.

 

 

Southern Express

Sunday, November 14, 2010  3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

An 18 member popular big band performing a variety of standards and contemporary tunes.

 

 

Session Notes

Celebrations:

1. The success of the Watoto Children's Choir concert.

 2. Property Committee celebrated all the volunteers who are now cleaning Ft. King on a regular basis.

3. Worship Committee celebrated a wonderful Ash Wednesday service with approximately 60 persons in attendance. 4. Amanda Osenga celebrated a successful Middle School Girls' Retreat.

The following motions were passed:

1. Motion to receive 6 new members.

2. Motion to allow the officers of the corporation to sign checks against a new money market account with all checks requiring two (2) signatures.

3. Motion to grant a request for transfer of membership to First Presbyterian, Lady Lake, from Angelika Houston.

4. Motion to approve the amended update of "Guidelines for Weddings at Ft. King Presbyterian Church".

5. Motion to start a "feed the need garden" on the church grounds.

6. Motion to approve the spring Sunday School curriculum.

7. Motion to approve a Summer Sunday School coffee house with each committee hosting one Sunday.

8. Motion to accept a Letter of Resignation from Session received from Ron Welling. Accepted with regret.

Dates: 03/07 Irish Luncheon after worship 03/11 CATS day trip to Homosassa Springs State Park
